The Driven Collection began where every honest automotive obsession starts—at fifteen years old, when freedom was imminent, car magazines were abundant, and the dreams were massive.
I started driving competitively in 1991 and have been on the circuit in some form every year since. Through decades of club racing, endurance events, and vintage series, my passion for motorsport was fueled, and a deep network of similarly-afflicted collectors took root. For over thirty of those years, I have served as a track instructor—coaching owners through their first apexes and introducing seasoned drivers to machinery that demands precision, respect, and skill.
All of it happened in the definitive European motorcars of the 1980s and 1990s. This was the peak of the Analog Era—the legendary E30s, E36s, 944s, 968s, 964s, and 993s. These are the New Classics: the very last generation of sports cars engineered before traction control, PDK, and the digital overrides quietly muted the thrill of full driving engagement.
