The questions we're asked most often — about timelines, fees, inspections, and what it's like to work with us. Answered plainly.
It starts with a private inquiry — a conversation about the car you have in mind, how you intend to use it, and the budget you're working within. From there we agree on a brief, a timeline, and a retainer.
Anywhere from three weeks to nine months. A clean 964 C2 in driver-grade condition can surface quickly. A documented E30 M3 Evolution II with the right color combination and a single-digit owner count is a different exercise. We move at the pace the car requires, not the pace of the calendar.
A car we present for sale has been on a lift, paint-metered panel by panel, compression or leak-down tested, and driven on the road and — where appropriate — on track. We work with appropriate marque specialists throughout the northeast.
Sourcing is a flat retainer plus a success fee on acquisition. Sales are commission-based against the realised price. Inspections and vetting are billed per engagement. All fees are quoted in writing before any work begins. We do not take undisclosed margins from sellers.
Almost exclusively. The era we know — analogue chassis, naturally aspirated engines, hydraulic steering, manual gearboxes — is where we add the most value. We will occasionally take on a significant 1970s car or an early-2000s halo model when the brief calls for it.
Yes, provided the car fits the era and the standard. We'll inspect it, agree on a realistic figure, and place it within our network — often before any public listing. Photography, video, and provenance documentation are handled in-house.

Yes. Track instruction is offered to clients who buy through us — at Lime Rock, Thompson, Palmer, Club Motorsport, and Watkins Glen. The cars we sell are meant to be used. We'll help you use them well.
